George S. Pogacich: Actor (James Ross), lead villain
A horror thriller written and directed by Steven Karageanes, starring Lance Henriksen, Harry Lennix, Jack Noseworthy, Michael Traynor (The Walking Dead) and Katie Savoy. A desperate doctor locks down a cardiac hospital to keep a groundbreaking discovery to himself. George plays James Ross, the deranged son of Henriksen's character and the film's only villain, a silent killer in the Michael Myers mold who never speaks a line. Released by Gravitas Ventures.
George S. Pogacich: Actor (George Costan); shot and edited the Eric Roberts scene
A crime action comedy directed by John Anton, with Eric Roberts as Michael Steele and soap star James Hyde as a hitman. George S. Pogacich: Actor (mob heavy and hitman)
A Detroit-set action thriller written and directed by Eric Mintz, starring the late David Carradine and Traci Lords. Carradine plays Maceo, manager of Motown's hottest club, whose gambling debts tangle him in the Detroit mob. George plays a heavy for the mob who kills Carradine's character, then drives the car with the body in the trunk off into a pond. He also has a bar fight with co-star Eric Kingston. On set, when the crew couldn't figure out how to open the trunk, Carradine reached up and opened it himself: “Hey, I know my way in.”
George S. Pogacich: Actor (the Gunman, a key role), co-producer, camera
An indie crime drama directed by Daniel Casey. George plays the Gunman, an oddball assassin who stalks the lead through the whole film, leading to their final showdown. It was made for about $500 on a standard-def Panasonic camcorder. It premiered at the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival, where it won a Film Excellence Award, a category created for this film, and went on to official selections at the Lansing, Silver Lake and Trinity film festivals.
